Dont blame the cops, blame the brothers before you It may not be the majority of us, but its the perceived majority of us I know this situation is mainly going out towards black struggle and sufferage, but Hmong people need to learn from this. Too many news articles starring new Hmong faces doing crimes and killing other Hmong people. Just stop, you aint hard. Just work hard and stay under the radar. No need to make a name for yourself. If you do, make it a good one. Lets stay stereotyped to being smart, having an accent, family-oriented with 11 brothers and 14 sisters, eating dogs, whatever it is. And whatever we are now is better than where the blacks are, and thats truth. So clean up your nasty hard attitude. Young bucks wanting loud Civics. Going to new years to look for trouble. If youre gonna be hateful towards your own kin, at least carry that hatred with you to the point where you say he probably deserved it or I could care less when the white man shoots a Hmong person. We are becoming more and more recognized. Not as Asians, but as the Hmong people. This is our chance to give the world a good impression so that our kids can walk down the street with a hoodie on and only be suspected to be doing homework. It may not be the majority of us, but its the perceived majority of us. Let that sink in. We got Hmong people with some high degrees and positions. Keep it up. For those who are suffering in the ghettos as the video stated, man you can assume you have family in the rest of the 49 states. Were Hmong. Im not saying run away, Im just saying you can make it out. So make it out. I dont mean to draw attention away from Ferguson, but enough attention is already on it. Might as well take this time to stay low reflect on how to prevent this instead of reacting to it when it happens. Be smart, be wise. And to those 4 hour lectures you had as a kid from your mom and dad, they were right. Play those tapes in your head and start applying them.
