Dont forget! The registration deadline for the Young Artist Competition is coming up — Jan. 7 by 5 p.m. Winter break is the perfect time to practice! The Kansas City Symphony invites students between the ages of 13-18 to participate in the 2015 Young Artist Competition. Nearly $2,000 in prize money and the opportunity to perform with the Kansas City Symphony will be awarded. A completed registration form and $20 non-refundable application fee are required to audition. Preliminary auditions will take place Saturday, Jan. 17 at MidAmerica Nazarene Universitys Bell Center located at 2030 E. College Way, Olathe, KS 66062. Selected finalists will perform in the final round on Saturday, Feb. 7 in Helzberg Hall at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.
