Dont forget, Vallejos unique Mad Hatter holiday festival and parade, lighted boat parade, and tree lighting are all today! First, go to the JFK Library to hear Vallejos own jazz bassist, Ariane Cap play at 1pm. Then, the festival start at 2pm outside the library on the Unity Plaza. The parade starts at 4:30, Georgia St between Sonoma & Santa Clara. Tree lighting 6pm. Parade of lighted boats 6:30 pm, waterfront The Mad hatter Costume Ball starts at 7:30, at Dance Unlimited, 510 Georgia St, $25 at the door. The musical line-up looks impressive, 3 bands! And, you can keep it local for the holidays.... local artisans will ply their wares at the unity plaza starting at 2. My ABSOLUTE favorite chocolatiers, Ian Scott chocolates, will be selling their homemade artisan candies (made in their Vallejo cottage kitchen). Dark chocolate with St. George Anisette, burnt caramel truffles, cranberry pate de fruite, to name a few.....drool. Dont forget other local businesses for the holidays, Zoey June and Lileds Chocolate on Tennessee. And burgeoning businesses downtown, including a new gourmet food store at Georgia & Marin!
