Dont forget that today, at the Oswego Village Hall, the Oswego - TopicsExpress

Dont forget that today, at the Oswego Village Hall, the Oswego Board of Elections is having a substantive hearing on the election fraud case currently going on. To catch you up, for those wh0o havent been paying attention, back in July, the Oswego Village Board passed a resolution to make the village elections non-partisan. As a result of this, the turn in dates for ballot signatures changed from December to November. Many board members were unaware of the change and any candidate that was not on the board had no idea there was a change. The Oswego Village Website stated the December turn in dates as did the literature in the candidate packet published by the city clerks office. Two board members (who were coincidentally both Republicans) were the only ones aware of the change. They were aware that the website the the city clerks literature were incorrect, yet as sitting board members, they said nothing. In previous elections, both of these members filed their petitions around the first day of the time window allotted for turning in ballot signatures. They waited until the last day to turn them in, in an obvious attempt to make sure that no one was aware of the date change and that no one would be made aware, until it was too late, by their turning in their signature forms. Come on out and support fair and free elections in Oswego. The actions of these board members is unconscionable and should not be tolerated. This was clearly done to ensure that one candidate would be on the ballot for Village President and one candidate for Trustee. None of the other candidates running would be on the ballot as a result of missing the earlier turn in date. The candidates who were board members had a chance to know about the change, but any candidate who is not on the board would have had no chance whatsoever to know that there was a November turn in date instead of having until December to turn them in. The actions of these two board members is high unethical and probably illegal. They need to be held to task on this so that this never happens again and all of hte candidates need to be able to turn in thier petitions and be allowed to be on the ballot. If this is not stopped, then the Village Presidency will fall to one of these individuals by default and he will be able to appoint Trustees to fill in the spots that would have otherwise been filled by the election, thus disenfranchising the village of Oswego. The hearing will be held at 7pm tonight at the Oswego Village Hall. Come on out and show your support for democracy!! See you there!!
