Dont forget there is a deadline: PARODY REEL CONTEST - WRITE FOR SUBMISSION FORM: PARODY/SPOOF CONTEST: Looking for submissions for a Galacticon 4 contest. Spoof reel or Parody of your favorite BSG, Star Trek, Land of the Lost or Firefly characters. Submissions may be 3 to 5 minutes long. Two prizes will be awarded, and clip will be shown during the Opening Ceremony of Galacticon in Seattle, and/or other times throughout the weekend. Additional videos may be shown during the parties. Person submitting must have created the piece – written and directed or written and acted in. Think of this, a bit, as CosPlay on film – a skit similar to what you might find on Saturday Night Live. Galacticon reserves the rights to screen submitted work. Please see further guidelines and submission form below: GALACTICON 4 PARODY/SPOOF (SHORT) FILM SUBMISSION GUIDELINES There is NO FEE to submit, but you must follow the guidelines precisely. Open to all, you do not have to attend the convention to submit. LENGTH: 3 to 5 minutes – should be self contained. Work must not have been shown previously at any festival or convention and by accepting the terms of the agreement you agree that the parody/spoof will not be submitted or shown in any format up until the festival. You also acknowledge that you understand copyright, and G-4 has first rights for viewing for fan purposes only and that entrant takes all responsibility for content. Dialogue and/or narration must be in English. No nudity or profanity accepted. Two submissions per entrant allowed. More than two submissions will disqualify all entries. Each entry must come in a separate email with a separate submission form. If you choose to make two entries, they will not be accepted if they are submitted together. Entries will be judged on originality and content. All decisions by judges are final. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: April 30, 2015. Upon acceptance filmmakers must execute a release agreement wherein they accept responsibility for obtaining any and all clearances necessary (already existing dialogue, music, etc.) to exhibit their work at Galacticon 4. They agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rex Mundi Productions, Galacticon 4, and all affiliates subsidiaries and any of their respective directors and representatives against any claim arising out of exhibition of their submission.
