Dont forget to look up at the mystery. Remember how tiny you are and for you to think you have the ultimate truth is one of the most absurd things any creature can possibly claim. Do you think a cell in your body knows the nature of the life you are living? Let alone the nature of the planet you are living on and the universe you are living in? The cultural and dogmatic tendency to fear the unknown and reject mystery only prevents real progress and understanding. Related to this is the fact that words are useless if you dont know the reality to which they refer. They are merely abstract utterances without the knowledge and understanding of the trans-linguistic connection being made. That means you have to have your own experience and understanding and you shouldnt take it as truth when somebody tells you of their experience, understanding, and perception or that of someone else. Especially when it has not only been translated into words but has been translated through multiple languages, cultures, perceptions, cosmologies etc. See how absurd a lot of cultural avenues become with this fundamental understanding? It may seem absurd to compare a human to an insect in the context of Earth but in the context of what is immense beyond comprehension and infinite as far as we can tell, it is an adequate comparison. Ask the next insect you encounter the nature of the cosmos, the planet, the ecosystem it inhabits and so on. I bet he responds Gee, i dont know. I only just recently learned to speak English...silly human. ;)
