Dont we all love invitations. Such pomp and circumstance; such excitement and gayety. Our hearts will become open and receptive, and burdens cast to the wind because we know there will be such laughter and joy. I can remember someone inviting me to a banquet, but I was too busy for I thought it would interrupt the plans that I had for my life. Fast forward 10 more years and that same invitation was made. Broken ,exhausted, and perplexed from chasing the winds of fame and fortune and indulging the self. By His grace, I accepted this eternal invitation and scales fell from eyes when the veil was lifted as I made room in my life for the One who awaits all of us to accept this relationship that will last forever. All other parties will come and go. Invitations will wilt with time. I dont regret the struggles of those 10 years , because if I had not gone down those dark lonely roads with all the emptiness, I could have not ever accepted this new way of love and grace. The grass withers, the flowers fade, but time can never take away love for it endures forever.
