Don’t Ever Forget I love doing my Bible study through the book - TopicsExpress

Don’t Ever Forget I love doing my Bible study through the book of Exodus. Exodus has so many truths and lessons for us to learn from. In (Exodus 23:29-30) it says, “I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate and the beast of the field multiply against thee. By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.” The Israelites seemed to always have enemies before them. We as Christians also face a daily enemy, too, as we battle against our flesh. After 38 years of ministry I have learned that the flesh has real strongholds in our lives. Giants dwell in our land, and high walls seem to always be in our way. But the Lord wants us to enter in and possess all of His promises. The Lord wants you to live a life of blessedness and victory. To do so, you have to battle the flesh. Okay…how do you battle the flesh? You can learn to battle the flesh by observing the principals the Lord set forth for you. Notice that the Lord did not give Israel victory in one year. Instead, He conquered their foes little by little. The Lord will not give you victory over the flesh in one year. Success has no shortcuts, it is a lifelong battle. Friends, as long as you live in this human body of flesh you are going to be troubled with the things of the flesh. The Lord will never show you the whole battle at once, because He knows that would discourage you. So He will show you one territory at a time. Israel never completely took all the territory that the Lord promised to them, and you will never have complete victory over your flesh until you stand before Him at His throne. But you can rejoice in the territory that you have conquered so far, and rest in the knowledge that He will continue that work in you. May the Lord help us all to not be satisfied with a partial conquering of the land, but may we press on until we have taken all that the Lord has promised us. There are still many promises before you, and you know what? You will conquer your foes. The Lord wants you to walk by faith and to keep your eyes on Him, and to be faithful to His Word, and He will never leave you nor forsake you, and that’s a promise the Lord cannot or will ever break! May the Lord bless you on your journey?
