Doras infection is back. :-( Fortunately, Kingsbrook has suggested trying conservative treatment first--oral antibiotics and soaking her foot to try to draw it out. He thinks its possible theres a foreign body in there thats not x-ray visible (splinter or plastic or something) and wed have a better chance of supporting the bodys own healing process than cutting her open and turning her into hamburger in search of something well never find. Also possible the infection just never cleared up the first time, so were going to be on antibiotics longer than the original course . . . Worst possibility is a growth, but thats the least likely so were not going to worry about that at all unless things just dont improve.
