Dota 2′s Compendium Fan Vote results revealed The end of day two of Dota 2‘s The International 4 main event has given us the results of the Compendium Fan Vote. Which was the vote that decided which heroes got the next Arcana, a new voice pack, and a model rework, in case you’ve completely forgotten. I actually thought that these results had already been revealed in the Compendium itself, but apparently not! Anyway, your winners are as follows. Phantom Assassin will be the next hero getting an Arcana, which is an incredibly pricey cosmetic item that massively changes the way the hero looks and tends to change their sounds, animations, and a whole lot more. Right now there are only three in the game – Lina’s Fiery Soul of the Slayer, Terrorblade’s Fractal Horns of Inner Abysm, and Legion Commander’s Blades of Voth Domosh. They will soon be joined by Phantom Assassin’s Something Something of Something. Amusingly, there was a loud boo from the crowd as this was announced. I’d have preferred Vengeful Spirit or Enchantress, but eh – the latter was never going to happen, and the former was a long shot. Spectre will be the hero getting a voice pack, which is probably going to massively divide people because quite a few actually like her default voice. It’s largely unintelligible as all of her lines have the same line overlaid – backwards – over the top of it, so theoretically, she could have the easiest alternate voice to assemble just by having the lines said normally. I imagine Valve will do something a bit more special, though. Either way, the voice pack appears to be optional so you don’t have to use it if you don’t want to. Finally, Faceless Void will be getting the hero getting a model rework. I don’t think his model is all that bad despite how amazingly ugly he is, so… well, I guess we’ll see how that goes.
