Doug - on Tamaras behalf - as Sammy mentioned below, Tamara had to undergo surgery at Georgetown University Hospital on Tuesday of this week to remove a tumor (acoustic neuroma) affecting her left ear. The surgery was very successful (Praise God)! The tumor was completely removed and the surgeons (neurosurgeon and ENT) were able to preserve her facial nerve. She unfortunately lost hearing in the affected ear but it was expected given the size of the tumor Tamara is in the Neurosurgery ICU, is feeling much better today than last night and continues to get better. She will most likely be in the hospital another 4-5 days and then transition home to complete her recovery which is expected to last 6-8 weeks. Thanks to all of you for your prayers and support.
