Dougie :) Im in Melbourne today with members of the Community and Public Sector Union. They are reeling from the Abbott governments decision to give Telstra a contract to operate call centres on behalf of Centrelink and Medicare. While the Abbott Government says this is just a pilot program, I am not convinced it is anything but the beginning of widespread privatisation of crucial frontline services.
