Downey Animal Care Center A4642347 Boca is a gentle and completely blind five year old brown and black male German Shepherd who was dumped at the Downey Shelter on October 12th. Weighing seventy pounds, this volunteer and staff favourite walks beautifully on leash and follows your voice as he stays close to your side. He is calm and because of his blindness he prefers slow introductions to other dogs. We think he will be good with children who understand that he can’t see and are mature enough not to surprise him. If you volunteer or work in an animal shelter you heart is constantly tugged upon with the tragedies of human failure that are unfairly heaped upon innocent pets who deserve a great life of love and respect - and finding Boca a home or rescue is definitely a priority if not an obsession for all of us. Boca is a total sweetheart and will make a fabulous indoor pet and best friend for an individual or family living in a private home.
