Download Festival Sunday by me(posted first to help reading order) *coal chamber- glad to see them, lots of fun and some eye candy on the bass. First morning or afternoon band where I didnt notice wind affecting the mix *five finger death punch- a surprise showing. A band ive known vaguely but who blew me away live. Got 6 metalhead kids on stage (one who knew entire songs!) and definitely ;) didnt encourage crowd surfing. If you want some good simple metal ffdp will fit the bill. *parkway drive- nothing against them. Some good songs but too many over uses of things like blast beats for my taste and not much substance. Worth listening to while havin a beer. *stone sour- corey came back and ripped it up again with his boys. Slowed it down for bother and then hammered through children of the grave by sabbath and 30 30 150 to wrap it all up. Is corey king of download? Yup. *newsted- forgot they were on but heard some serious sounds while having a donut and had to check em out. Such a great find. Finished with a creeping death medley then played whiplash. *30 seconds to mars- *sigh* I wanted to hate them. I always have. I suspected no change. He still looks and acts like a twat..but shit they are a damn good festival band. How they made such drivel sound good I dont know it but by the end..I had fun and even warmed to the band themselves..there I said it..still not buying an album or ticket but would sit though for a better band now. Speaking of... ***RAMMSTEIN!!!! Holy shit. I have never heard such an epic sound nor experienced such an onslaught of visual effects. They were tight they were big they were ridiculous and they were the best show I saw. Competing for best band but in a league of their own for experience hands down. Hard to even describe in terms of how good they were. Everything blew up. Everybody sang along. The loudest biggest and best band of an amazing Download festival 2013.
