Downtown Lansdowne - 1909 With the recent discussion of downtown Lansdowne, here is a portion of a map I acquired a couple of years ago. For some reason, the area where the bowling alley was located, was called Lansdowne Villa. It has been fun going over the map looking for familiar names and places. For instance - I never knew Lansdowne had a Silk Mill. And there are streets named after people who lived there, or at least nearby. Our family lived on Price Avenue. There was a family named Price that lived there in 1909. Do any of you see interesting things? Any interest in other areas around town? The map I have stops at Greenwood Avenue on the North.
