Downtown residents, if youre looking to serve food to the hungry on Christmas Day, please consider volunteering your time with my friend and fellow downtowner, Jonathan Andrew Halls organization, The Elf Society. The Elf Society serves homeless veterans every Christmas and Veterans Day. Last year, Downtown residents Tyrus Mulkey, Vicki Welch, myself and a few others were able to serve 250 people in just a couple hours. So the more help we can get this year, the more we can serve! We will be starting at 10am at Dallas International Street Church 2704 S 2nd Ave. This is over by Fair Park. *If you want to volunteer, let me or Jonathan know either by responding to this post or private message. *Also, they are collecting the following donation items: coats, sweaters, socks, shoes, pants, work attire, and anything warm - i.e. Hats, scarves, gloves.
