Dozens of illegal immigrants have been given highly sensitive jobs in hospitals, the police and even in Whitehall. A Sunday Mirror probe has uncovered the scandal just weeks after the Coalition promised a crackdown in the Queen’s Speech. The illegals landed jobs in 37 NHS Trusts and four police forces. And the Treasury discovered one working in its offices, despite “fully vetting all employees”. Illegal immigrants have secured important roles from a hospital children’s nurse and a radiographer to a police IT contractor. Shadow Immigration Minister Chris Bryant said: “This is serious. Illegal immigration is getting worse under this government.”
