THE LAST THUG RYDER part 20 A month flew by since the incident in the lounge room. Ryder never heard a peep from his parents tho he was cut that his mum was dragged into it. His marriage began thriving better than Ryder expected. He found himself making excuses to leave work early to go home to his wife. He never was one who had the patience to have a conversation with a woman if it wasnt leading to the bedroom but he found that he enjoyed talking with his wife who was witty and intelligent. The mini arguments were always ruined and would frustrate the hell out of Ryder when she would use big words or cut him off midlecture by singing just to shut him up. Where did that thought come from? Ryder didnt know how but he let his gaurd down and his wife had snuck her way in to his heart making him vulnerable. Alofa-are you ok? Ryder-yeah, why? Alofa-you look as though you just had a bad taste in your mouth. Ryder wasnt about to let his wife know he just realised he was inlove with her. If he wasnt careful, she could use it against him knowing she had just become his weakness. He wasnt taking the revelation well at all. Well hell, If he was inlove with her than he was gonna make sure she would be miserable with him and Love him back. Ryder-Im fine. I need to go do some work stuff tonight so dont wait up. I might be late. Alofa watched the change in her husband and couldnt fathom what was wrong with him. He seemed to have turned green in the face. She graced him with a smile which nearly faltered when Ryder cleared his throat, he waved bye and turned to leave which had Alofa wondering if he was coming down with something. Ryder sped all the way back to work with his new found revelation. He pulled into parking, jumping out of his car to go in his office like the devil was on his heels. He walked straight pass the boys not stopping til he was behind the closed door and then he breathed a sigh of relief. He needed to tell someone but who? He dialed Dommies wife who knew what to do and would most likely show him that he was worrying over nothing. She only had time to pick up when Ryder jumped straight to the point of his dilemma not bothering to say hello. When he finished talking he awaited to hear her opinion. She stayed quiet, pondering for a bit before she finally spoke, amusement clear in her voice. Oriana-i know what it is. Ryder-what is it? Oriana - congratulations, youre inlove with your wife. You have now become a man😁 Ryder - Oriana? Oriana-yes?😅 Ryder-i hate you😳 Oriana-😂😂😂😂😂 Ryder hung up, he couldnt stand hearing her laugh at his expense. After a while he found himself smiling no longer able to deny that he was a man who loved his wife. ............. The homephone rang while alofa was carrying her washing in. Dropping the basket to rush to the phone. Alofa-hello? Alofa. .. Alofa-*frowning* Iosua? Yes. I need to talk to you, its important. Alofa-ok. Can you meet me? Alofa-why cant you tell me now over the phone? No I cant I cant say it over the phone. Can you meet me tonight say 7:30 in between kfc and the park near the church. Alofa-Iosua I dont think..... Alofa, You will want to know what I need to say. Its about Ryder. Alofa didnt want to go but something in his voice caught her attention. He sounded worried. Ryder told her was working back late so Alofa knew that meant after midnight. Shed be able to go and be back before Ryder got home. If it was to do with her husband than Alofa wanted to know.
