However, if drawn upon in a problematic way, it can lead to more psychological and spiritual distress. Therefore, it is critical to understand the nature of one’s spiritual coping to promote transformation and spiritual resilience, while avoiding the pitfalls of spiritual struggles. This session will focus on applying theoretical models of spiritual coping in meaningful ways into our work with others. We will draw upon research identifying red flags associated with spiritual struggles and interactively explore ways to navigate those factors to facilitate transformation, growth and spiritual resilience following life’s challenges.
