Dr. Huisheng Xie has given me the great news, I have qualified for one of the first new certifications from Chi Institute and the South China University of Agriculture..........he sent me this: the chi is going to issue a new certification of Certified TCVM Practitioner (CTCVMP) that requires a minimum of 165 CE hours (including CVA, CVCH, CVFT and CVTP + one of elective course such as annual conference etc). Since you have already completed all these requirements, we are going to issue this CTCVMP to you. Congratulations! You are one of the first 20 receivers of this special certification. Here is the more info on the CTCVMP (below). We will use the CTCVMP to be the main program to apply for the college accreditation. Certified Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine Practitioner (CTCVMP) Program Although the terms Chinese Medicine and acupuncture have been used interchangeably in the West, acupuncture is actually only one modality or “branch” of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM). There are actually four branches of TCVM, which include: 1) acupuncture, 2) Chinese herbal medicine, 3) Food Therapy and 4) Tui-na. The practice of Qi-gong, a form of Chinese meditative exercise, is a fifth branch
