Dr. Ian Player, legendary nature conservationist credited with saving the White Rhino from extinction, suffered a serious stroke with complications on Thursday morning, November 20th, 2014. He is comfortably at home in the Karkloof, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, where he is supported by his wife, Ann, and immediate family members. The family are most grateful for the well wishes they have received, but request privacy during this period. An update will be issued as soon as there is any change in 87 year old, Dr. Player’s condition. Dr. Player founded The WILD Foundation in 1974 and provided the groundwork for our organization to become what it is today, 40 years later. We are eternally thankful for his hard work and dedication and ask that everyone keep Ian and his family in their thoughts during this difficult time. bit.ly/1HGkXpv
