Dr. Masaru Emoto 1943 – 2014 This morning Dr. Emoto left this world. My first contact with him was in 2002 when we contacted him about using his pictures in What the BLEEP. They agreed and forgot about it – until 2 years later when the phone rang off the hook. The movie was out and the water scene was one of the pivotal moments. To view the scene: https://vimeo/109272333 Subsequently, I met Masaru many times. He and his wife stayed at my house and then he invited me to Japan for a water festival. Always the gracious host we spent many hours talking, laughing, and drinking Shochu at the Sushi Bar. I was lucky enough to interview him for inclusion in Down the Rabbit Hole where he talked about his experiments and the recent Tsunami and the worldwide feeling of people coming together to help. To view part of the interview: https://vimeo/109275537 Of course he got criticism for his scientific method, because what he was saying was in direct conflict with the materialistic science of the our time. I know many many people who were deeply affected and changed by those scenes in the movie and his work at large. No doubt – this world is a better place because of his sojourn here. Goodbye Masaru Emoto. You are already missed. -Will Arntz
