Dr. Peters, if this story is accurate then as an academic that has written and published critical work on politics in the Eastern Caribbean, you should be ashamed of your decision and your hypocrisy. You are frustrating exactly what we should be encouraging among our young minds in Dominica! It doesnt take an academic degree to appreciate the irrationality and baselessness of your excuses. It is exactly at Colleges and Universities that civil and democratic societies encourage debates! So what type of student is the DSC preparing, a worker [no pun intended] or job-seeker [check the unemployment rate] who can’t think and reason on political economy? That is arguably the major problem with what’s wrong with our national politics right now! Your action is part of a disturbing trend among many technocrats and administrators who are hiding behind useless professional and institutional protocols to encourage decadence in Dominica. I cannot accept that and no Dominican should, though matter what color he/she dresses in!
