ISLAMABAD: General (Retd.) Pervez Musharraf, former President and Army Chief of Pakistan, was released from the sub-jail (his own house) at Chak Shehzad on Wednesday, ARY News reports on Wednesday. The SP of Adiyala Jail received orders of Musharrafs release after his request of bail in all four cases namely, Benazir Bhutto murder case, Akbar Bugti murder case, Lal Masjid Operation case and Judges Detention case, were accepted earlier on Wednesday. Ahmad Raza Qasuri, lawyer of Pervez Musharraf, stated that the release of former President of Pakistan was not a part of any deal. He further claimed that the cases filed against Pervez Musharraf were false. Qasuri further claimed that all the name of former Army Chief was placed in the Exit Control List (ECL) by the Sindh High Court. The lawyer expressed his optimism that the Provincial High Court would withdraw the name.
