Dr. W’s Reflections, Ramblings, and Rants... DOING WHAT IS RIGHT “Brothers and sisters, do not be weary in doing what is right” (2 Thess 3:13). If you knew the Lord was coming tomorrow, what would you do today? Chances are you would sit down, assess yourself, attempt to re-order your priorities, and then decide what really matters to you. Above all, you might be inclined to do all the good things you could do in the remaining hours you had before the return of Christ. In view of the coming of Christ, Paul wrote these words to encourage believers to get right with God by remaining committed to doing what is “right” and good (cf., Gal 6:7-10; Col 3:17). And so, as we wait for the coming of Christ today, may we be encouraged to think about our life with God, to re-order our priorities, and to determine what really matters to us. In other words, let’s just decide to get right with God by doing what is “right” as we work for the good of all: “Brothers and sisters, do not be weary in doing what is right.”
