Drawing a Line in the Sand Posted on September 5, 2014 IT’S FRIDAY BUT SUNDAY’s COMING!!! Good Morning my friends, Let God help you get through this day. There are many possible paths to travel from the time that you wake up in the morning to the minute you lay down to go to sleep at night. Look at the many points along your path and be aware of God’s Presence. You will get through this day one way or another. You can moan and groan, stumble along barely with your feet shuffling which will eventually get you to the end of your day or you can choose a much better but way. You can choose to walk with God along His path of Peace. This way will allow you to lean on Him as much as you need. Although there will still be difficulties along the way, but you can face them confidently with His strength. You then will be able to a Thank Him for each problem you encounter, and then watch how He transforms your trials into blessings… “To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”(Luke 1:79) How do you know what path to take? I see daily that many of my friends are experiencing the trials and tribulations of life. Whether it be health, relationship, employment or the loss of a loved one, everyday I see a plea for help or prayer… Many of you have come to me for advice and/or direction. You have come to me seeking a change your life.. I always start by asking the same question.. DO YOU KNOW JESUS??? If you want change in your life then you need to invite Jesus into your life and He will change your life. A change in one’s life STARTS WITH REPENTANCE… True Repentance begins in your mind with a thought, then it’s felt in your heart, then spoken from your mouth. Most people can do the first three things with relative ease however it doesn’t stop with your mouth.. Those three things are followed by ACTION…. Repentance is not doing the same things and expecting a different result. Repentance means there’s a clean break. It means you STOP and change directions. It means drawing a line in the sand and shouting “NO MORE”. It means turning away from that line and going in the opposite direction. It means completely breaking ALL TIES from the people & the things that were in your life before… I see many friends that think, feel & speak repentance but they NEVER take action. They believe they can continue doing the same things, running around with the same people but expect a different result. My friends oil and water will never mix. If they brought you down before and have not changed themselves then they’ll bring you down again. “I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.” (Acts 20:21) MY CHALLENGE PRAYER for YOU..
