Dripping Springs Presbyterian is having a fundraiser Sunday, Jan. - TopicsExpress

Dripping Springs Presbyterian is having a fundraiser Sunday, Jan. 26, from 5-8 PM at the Mercer St. Dance Hall in Dripping. Tracy Lynn is playing, as are Ninth Hour, Square 1, and others. It is free, but theyre asking for donations. There is also a silent auction. I made a lovely spring silk arrangement (ordered by our friend Lynn Osler) for the auction, Lettie donated a basket of her luscious chewy gooey caramel brownies, and our family donated 2 nights, 3 days stay at Hastings Lakehouse. There are many other wonderful items on the auction as well. DSPC is going to Guatemala in June to build a home for someone there, and the money raised will help to pay for the supplies for the home. If you can, please come out and at buy something. We like to encourage as many people as possible to go to Guatemala: 1. It gives them a real feel for the deep, bone-grinding poverty that is there, so that they have a better understanding of why we need to help our neighbors and 2. their tourist dollars help people there. If youve not yet been to the Mercer St. Dance Hall, you owe yourself a car ride out to Dripping. Mercer Street is 2 blocks north of 290-turn right on RR12, then left at the light- the hall is down on the right, before you get to the bridge. If you get to the bridge, youve just missed it, but hopefully youll see all the cars and find it.:) See you there!
