A Clean Harbors Class “A” Driver is responsible for the transportation of hazardous waste from a generator or facility to a Clean Harbors facility, while adhering to Department of Transportation and hazardous waste regulations. You will be responsible for the proper loading and unloading of hazardous & non-hazardous waste; waste is hauled via tanker and van. You will ensure the proper utilization of company equipment. In addition, you will comply with company policies & procedures, DOT, HAZMAT and RCRA requirements/regulations. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate daily logs, timesheets, expense reports, dispatch/ trip reports and vehicle inspection reports. This is an OTR position, traveling between 2500 to 3200 miles per week. You will receive full company benefits, a $55.00 per day-per diem while in a sleeper. An hourly rate will be in place for local routes. A minimum of 12 months driving experience is required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Move a drum weighting up to 800 lbs with a drum dolly • Moving a flex bin weighting up to 1500 lbs with a palette jack • Lifting up to 50 lbs from the ground to your waiste • Ability to climb a ladder up to 4 ft high and to climb under a truck for inspection • Ability to pull open a truck Hood • Ability to reach over your head (Closing over head doors and changing placards) • Able to travel Employment is contingent upon a successful background check and drug screen.
