Minimum Requirements - Matric - Code 8 Drivers Licence Job Specification Core Accountabilities: • Delivery and pickup of goods timeously • Submission of daily trip reports to supervisor daily • Provide superior customer service to all customers/clients/suppliers • Ensure vehicle is in a safe, clean and roadworthy order • Abide by all driver safety and road rules and regulations Tasks: Delivery and Pickup Ensure that goods are received in good condition Deliver product to and pick up product from specified locations Develop and maintain an efficient routing system Ensure invoices are made out prior to loading or delivery Provide the customer with an invoice Handle goods responsibly and with care Ensure all POD’s presented to the office are correct and match to the trip sheet on deliveries scheduled for the day Present a copy of each transaction to the customer after each delivery Turn all POD’s into the office daily Ensure AE is updated on ALL deliveries Loading and unloading of products All Dot stores must be delivered as high priority Submit daily trip reports Submit trip report to supervisor daily Fill out trip report completely and accurately Inform your supervisor of discrepancies in your invoices as soon as you are aware of them Service Greet customers promptly and courteously and address them in a professional and friendly manner Promptly and courteously answer the phone Respond to after-hours calls from customers Work with customers and logistics and distribution to resolve problems and report complaints to your supervisor Always be presentable and wear a clean uniform and be neat Vehicle and safety Use extreme caution while driving in high risk areas Use extreme caution while driving in high risk areas Comply with road and driving rules and regulations Ensure that the vehicle always clean, meets safety standards and is roadworthy Always conduct daily safety checks; tyres, sufficient fuel for all trips, all lights and brakes are working Ensure vehicle is serviced regularly Activities: Communicating with Supervisors, Peers — Providing information to supervisors and co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Performing for or Working Directly with the Public — Performing for people or dealing directly with the public and ensuring that deliveries are performed timeously and done with efficiency. Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge — Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to my job. Making Decisions and Solving Problems — Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems Inspecting Equipment/Goods — Inspecting equipment/goods, and identify the cause of errors or defects Responsibilities: Daily Load vehicles with listed goods, ensuring goods are loaded correctly and taking precautions with fragile goods. Deliver goods timeously Unload and sort items goods along delivery routes Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivering goods Record information, such as items received and delivered and recipients responses onto AE Contact clients before deliveries (normal same days) to ensure that clients are available to accept goods Ensure GPS logbook is updated and KM’s are updated to CEM/Ops Director To inform management of theft or safety hazards Weekly Weekly meeting with ES/CEM/Ops Director Monthly Ensure KM’s on GPS logbook and Fuel expenses balance Monthly submitting of Fuel recon to accounts Monthly meeting with CES/CEM/Ops Director pnet.co.za/index.php?s=advert_view&g=9827&x=4151964&i=32&pop=1
