Driver Question: As a company driver the company says no idling. You idle anyway to stay cool and get your rest. The company sends you to Phoenix middle of summer 110 degree heat. The company sends a message to the truck and shuts it down. Now here the question. Could the company be responsible for wrongful death or unsafe working conditions? And be subject to a major lawsuit? I was talking to a friend. He got stuck in La. He said a truck was patked next to him. The company shut his truck off. After 3 days my friend got a load. The May truck was surrounded by police and EMS. Due to the high temperature and the lack of a/c the driver died. So that is why I asked if the company could be held liable.- John
