Driving home from work, have the wipers on level 3, rain bucketing down on the windows, barely a second that I dont see a wiper cross my windscreen, and I turn the music off. I shift the car into cruise and I sit there in silence, absolute silence. But it is not silent... Rain is teaming down no longer making droplet sounds but a constant roar on the shell of my car, windscreen wipers sound like a mechanical arm thats lost control widely flailing itself around in constant motion.. I sit there and look on at only the street lights flooding the wet roads.. So odd to be in silence and to be at peace.
