Driving in my driveway at 6:30, my dog ran alongside my car , welcoming us home.I slowed and stopped. Kids wound down windows and started talking to her. I had slowed to almost stopping but felt my car go over her and heard her yelp. Tim was home and saw her so quickly came and scooped her up from where she was lying. Straight down to vets. I was shaking as much as the dog! Brett checked her out and gave her some pain relief. Hopefully no broken bones, just soft tissue damage in her back leg. Pain relief and and anti-inflammatories for a few days and hopefully no need for xrays! Riddled with guilt ,I am. Drinking wine, I am. Cuddling my drugged up dog, I am:(
