Driving over Ballard bridge. Get to Queen Anne. Guy pulls onto freeway and goes across all 3 lanes with no blinker to get right in front of me while going 5 miles an hour slower than the speed limit. Okay... I use blinker and get in center lane. Just as I start to pass him, he swerves violently right and almost hits me. I am slamming on my breaks, swerving all the way to the right side of the road and laying on the horn the whole way. Just as he almost hits me he swerves away as I almost crash into the right wall, screeching to a complete stop mere inches from the concrete curb. He drives off like nothing happened. Clueless and distracted, self absorbed and rude as can be... Thank you lightning fast reflexes. Thank you empty road with no other drivers to hit. Thank you semi dry road surface. Thank you good breaks and steering system. Thank you angel on my shoulder. And mostly, thank you count to ten and breathe slowly. That little exercise kept me from having a heart attack, and probably saved Mr. DrivesLikeShit from being beaten to death on the side of the road... Had to check when I got home... car is ok, pants are not actually pooped. Thanks for both of those as well.
