Driving through the Poconos on I80. What a difference two weeks made. Two weeks ago today going the other direction, there was a massive explosion of colors. Now - all the trees are completely bare. Its still pretty but definitely not the same. We got so lucky last night. Stopped at a Super 8 just inside PA line in East Stroudsberry. Its a new hotel. Decor was really pretty instead of usual ugly. Beds and pillows were very comfy and shower was awesome. I can finally say I stayed in the Poconos even though it wasnt one of the resorts. Beka Lutchka and I agreed we wish we could stay a few days. Bonus- went outside this morning and hear the college marchig band practice and drum line. Turns out we were only couple blocks away. They sounded great! On road again. Sadly we cant push and get home tonight. We have to stop somewhere for the night by nine bc Beka has a paper to finish for her Criminal Justice. Onward!
