Driving to my outrageous (required) math class yesterday it occurs to me that it is almost time to vote and I have done little research yet. I became discouraged because I want to vote but to understand what Im voting on could take forever! Then I thought about how silly it is that Im on my way to this math class that is so complex that I truthfully will rarely use the info in my future. Why not swap some of these random (pretty much irrelevant) required classes for a required class that helps students study the current issues in our communities and explain and research candidates, laws and articles. Imagine the positive changes that would occur if we turned out a few generations of voters who could not be tricked by manipulative wording and confusion! My oh my...
