Driving to work this morning I couldnt help but think how quick - TopicsExpress

Driving to work this morning I couldnt help but think how quick people are to judge a situation & not attempt to put themselves in THAT persons shoes. There was a segment on the radio talking about children with intellectual/learning disabilities and how their parents are so quickly blamed for the situation, e.g. feeding them with preservatives, sugars, etc. Yes, in some cases it is true, however I thought about it and realised I have so many friends & family that are struggling every day with either health or intellectual issues with their children and I am SO PROUD OF THEM. So far, Ive been lucky to escape that with my daughter and step-daughters. It then made me think about the constant struggle I, my sisters and step-mother have had in the last month or so with our father/husband in seeing him go into hospital for what seems like endless time and now has had to go into a nursing home permanently. I was horrified to find out that my step-mother had so called friends that felt she was SO wrong in allowing it to happen. I dont ask for sympathy, I know our decision has been right, I ask for people who tend to judge situations to sit back for one minute and think about it. What right do you have to be so judgemental? Believe me, experience one day caring for my father and you would be beside yourself. Please, people just think about how you judge other people in relation to children, the elderly, the disabled, any situation. One walk in their shoes would wake you up.
