The Village Market in Nairobi , the greenest shopping Mall in the world, I was there today .............. Wow! visit > villagemarket-kenya. For the 16 years that The Village Market has been around, it has stood out for its luscious vegetation. It’s unlike any other mall in the world, or the world for that matter. Flora seems to peep out of every nook and cranny. There are plants on the ground and plants along the walkways. Potted plants, some big, others grand, where there’s too much brick. The lush vegetation runs along the complex. From the entrances to the parking lot, cutting across the prestigious Tribe Hotel and around the entire complex. All 230,000 square feet of retail and office space seems to be entirely covered by plants and gardens, adding colour to what would have been just another grey building. To complete the picture and in living up to its African theme, are waterfalls, rivers and fish ponds.
