*Drops knowledge* The November 4th ballot is going to bring with it the option of expanding medical marijuana in the state of Florida. This question will appear on the ballot as Amendment 2, also referred to as issue 2. This issue may seem confusing because the Florida legislature already legalized medical marijuana in a bill that the governor signed back in June. However, that bill only legalized medical marijuana in a limited way, allowing only a certain strain of marijuana, known as Charlotte’s Web, to be sold, and then only to treat epilepsy. Amendment 2 would more fully legalize the medicinal use of marijuana by physicians and patients, which means expanding the strains of marijuana that could be sold and expanding the diseases that it could be used to treat.
