Dualism requires that God create outside of himself and beyond himself. It requires God to create his own enemy his own anti-self. While such can work as a tool for illustration and toward the evolution of sentient creatures within that creation, it cannot stand as a meaning of life and cannot stand as the true essence of existence or consciousness. Dualism is a default presumption of the independent perceived identity. The ego driven identity presumes dualism to explain its experience and place in the world. It defines its self as good or evil or a little of both. It sees itself as acceptable or unacceptable or a little of both. It cannot easily see absolute Union and absolute love because such undermines its performance identity. Instead of simply trying to mature in Union and Love consciousness it tries to define itself in terms of achieving or not achieving Union and approval. Dualism directs us toward sectarianism because it never approaches either life application or problem solving from the position of intrinsic Union. God never created anything outside of himself. But he did create a compartmentalization where consciousness can and does mature or evolve. This is where dualism can and did and has functioned as a tool for learning. Barry DuPont
