Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum chaired the Dubai Executive Council held at its headquarters at the Emirates Towers. The meeting reviewed a number of projects and issues on its agenda. The meeting was held in presence of Dubai Deputy Ruler and First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Second Deputy Chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum. During the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan gave directives on establishing a higher committee to develop a comprehensive database on Dubai residents to be used for strategic planning and prediction modules. The committee will be chaired by Lt. General Dahi Khalfan Tamim. The meeting also approved the establishment of ‘Emirates Maritime Arbitration Centre’ with aims to position the emirate of Dubai as an international destination for the settlement of commercial conflicts and litigation.On another note, Sheikh Hamdan instructed local government entities to adopt a project successfully implemented by Dubai Police for issuing official eDocuments through its website and smart phone application.Also approved was the launch of a virtual call centre as a pilot project for a consolidated communication platform for all local government entities. The step precedes the establishment of a unified call centre for stakeholders which is expected to cut costs by 14% and 20%. Chairman of the Executive Council also gave directives to closely work with students of schools, colleges and universities for the recruitment of volunteers in preparation for Expo 2020.
