Dude, I never respond to reviews, but this one popped up on SECOND CHANCES. I really enjoyed her earlier novellas (because they arent full novels). She tried a full length novel and didnt like it. Thats fine. Not everyone is going to like everything, and itd be really weird if they did. As a whole, the fan base REALLY enjoys serials. Theyre written differently than novels and SECOND CHANCES is a deviation from the norm for me. As for me asking people to post reviews to say what they think, its part of the industry. Calling names is not okay, and making false accusations isnt cool either. When Ive asked for readers to give their side on a review its due to those reasons. Goodreads adopted a policy that personal attacks on the author would not be tolerated. I wish Amazon would do the same. Ive lost count of how many horrible names Ive been called by people who dont know me. No matter if a book is great or leaves you wanting more or just isnt your thing, the author put their heart and soul into that work. This profession requires throwing yourself out there and it can be very hard. Its often forgotten that the woman who wrote the book is a real person. This reviewer did none of those rude/ slanderous things. She simply said it wasnt for her and thats all right. Im glad you gave it a try. And Im glad you prefer serials. So do I. :)
