Were standing on the porch of the Harbor View Hotel & Resort, Edgartown Marthas Vineyard, MA looking across outer Edgartown Harbor, over the arm around Cape Pogue Pond to the houses on John Oliver Point, which extends into the pond from North Neck on Chappaquiddick. The perspective is so unusual and beguiling that it took us half a minute to figure out where we were and what we were looking at.
