Due in large part to my consistently busy schedule I have neglected to keep all of you updated on what arrangements were made for my father. Carol handled the details. The cost of a funeral / burial was outside of our means running in excessive ten to twelve thousand dollars total. Generous contributions were made by family and we were able to come up with $2000. With that money we were able to afford a cremation spreading my fathers ashes over the Pacific Ocean. Although Carol herself would have preferred burial my father often said he preferred cremation, ultimately he told Carol that since he considered the body to be just a shell and devoid of anything after death that in the end what ever preference she had would suit. Carol preferred burial, my father had no preference, and in the end the reality the circumstance left us little choice. All those people who sent us love, well wishes, and contributions, to ease carols and all our ways , I thank you immensely. I send you love and hope each and every one of you have peace and happiness in your lives. Tonight I remember, as I am sure I must for the rest of my days, that one of our kind has left us into the ether, and what a strange and complicated thing it is to be.
