Due to a recent incident of animal cruelty in the Springfield community, the staff and administration at The Bridge of Northeast Florida would like to acknowledge that in no way does The Bridge condone such behavior. The Bridge provides comprehensive educational, social and health programs to children and teens in need. The teen in question regarding this incident is not currently enrolled as a Bridge student. Our organization works in a conscious manner to educate our students to exercise proper judgment that would avoid these types of situations. Our prayers go out to the family who lost their dear cats. There is a deeper sorrow for this teen who will now face much needed help and support to gain an understanding around his wrongdoings but also to put this tragic incidence behind him.
