Due to the high concentration of the POPPLEWELL surname, Kentucky remains the state with the highest number of unconnected family members. His 1st wife is unknown, but his 2nd wife appears to be Cordelia Frances JOHNSON who was previously married to and presumed to have been divorced from Junius C POPPLEWELL; 4. Father of Doris F POPPLEWELL (1942) & Doyle R POPPLEWELL (1946) - mother Dorthy SMITH; 5. Husband of Alta BRAY who had 6 POPPLEWELL children: (Earnest 1945, Edith 1947, Louise 1949, Patsey 1950, Janice 1952 & Billie (female, 1959)); 6. Husband of Mary M POTTER who had 3 POPPLEWELL children (Mary A 1951, Reta Ann 1952, Wanda Kay 1954); 7.
