Durham Philharmonic Choir presents Ode to St. Cecilia Sunday, May 4, 2014 3:00pm College Park Church 1164 King St. E, Oshawa, ON L1H 1H9 The Durham Philharmonic Choir and orchestra, accompanied by a stellar cast of soloists featuring Laura Klassen, soprano, Stephen Bell, tenor, and Michael Robert-Broder, baritone, pay tribute to St. Cecilia – patroness of musicians and church music. This program will be highlighted by Charles Gounod’s wonderfully melodic ‘Mass of St. Cecilia’ along with music by Vivaldi and other Italian masters representing St. Cecilia’s birthplace of Rome. Tickets are $30 at the door ($15 post-secondary/ $5 students) and are available at Wilson and Lee Music Store, 87 Simcoe St. N, Oshawa, Information United Way-Oshawa Centre Kiosk, or from any chorister in advance.
