During WWII, medical officers reported a need for improved emergency transport splints. The ones being used were made from metal, which amplified vibrations from the stretcher bearers and furthered patient injuries. Charles and Ray #Eames recognized the need for a new and improved design. By the Wars end, they had manufactured over 150,000 splints. Thanks to all who have served, both past and present. #VeteransDay
