During his recent visit to HFIs adopted village of Sous Savanne, HFI founder, Jack Minton, shared a video with Joseph Jean Charles -- the community leader. The original video captured the first time they met -- shortly after the 2010 earthquake. The agrarian village had received little help, and Jack found hundreds of villagers sleeping under sheets and blankets held up with sticks, as 90% had lost their homes in the quake. After Joseph watched the video, he asked, Can we make a new video? I want to thank every person who is helping us rebuild our village…there has been so much change for the better!
