During last night’s Grant Entry at the Kamloops Powwow it occurred to me that I write so that future generations might dance and continue offering blessings to the Earth. I write so that future generations of singers might sing and add their songs to the one great clamorous song of Creation. I write so that future generations of mothers and fathers might raise their young ones in the shining hope of our togetherness as a human family. I write because of the people - without them there is no story. And in those thoughts it occurred to me that they dance and sing and raise families so that I might write of them and us and Creation and keep the circle flowing toward a confluence of energies that will heal us all and heal the planet. It’s a good day to be Indigenous to this planet…peace friends. Stay Brown!!!
