During severe weather events one of the tools that we like to use - TopicsExpress

During severe weather events one of the tools that we like to use is the simulated radar from the short range HRRR model which updates every hour. The latest run of this model seems to be in decent agreement with current radar trends so we wanted to show the expected progression of the storms through this evening. *Disclaimer*- This is a simulated future radar loop so should not be viewed as an exact or pinpoint forecast. That being said, it is useful for general timing and overall progression of the activity. We do expect the activity over central IL and IN to organize more into a large bow line of storms (or MCS) that will pick up speed and dive to the south and southeast this evening. If this verifies then widespread damaging wind and/or hail may become possible along that entire line. Stay in touch with us through the evening hours for any changes as this situation develops. This loop goes through midnight tonight with each frame one hour apart. A military time stamp in EDT is located in the upper right corner. -Brian
